1. 서문 (Preface)

이 Fortran tutorial은 프로그램 언어인 Fortran 77의 공통적 특성에 대하여 짧게 소개하고자 하는 것으로 완벽한 참고서가 아니다! 많은 것을 생략하였고 과학적 계산 그 중에서도 선형 대수에 촛점을 맞추어 설명할 것이다. 이 tutorial의 줄거리는 SIAM에서 발행하였던 지금은 절판된 T.F. Coleman과 C. Van Loan이 쓴 "Handbook for Matrix Computations"을 바탕으로 한 것이다.

이 tutorial은 standford 대학에서 1996 년 SCCM-001-F: Introduction to Fortran이란 강의를 위하여 만든 것으로 충남대학교 물리학과에서 사용할 수 있도록 옮긴 것이다.
